Sean Oswald

Sean Oswald is an emerging artist living and working in Cincinnati Ohio who focuses primarily on painting and drawing. Before attending graduate school Sean apprenticed with an artist who taught him the tradition of “alla prima” painting in upstate New York. While the skills he learned from the apprenticeship continue to undergird Sean’s work, he now applies the language of painting to paint through personal and contemporary concerns.
Sean holds a BA in Art Education from Miami University, an apprenticeship from the Carriage House Art Studio with the artist Garin Baker, and an MFA from the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP – College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning.
