Damon Styer

New Bohemia Signs is the longest running sign shop in San Francisco, dealing exclusively in hand painted signs and gold-on-glass technique since 1993. Damon Styer has been hand-lettering professionally for 17 years (and personally for over 30), and took ownership of the shop in 1999, after an abbreviated apprenticeship-by-telephone. He derives the greatest pleasure in his work from providing a place for young artists to learn the rules and tools for developing an efficient brush lettering practice they can carry into their future endeavors. To this end, intro to brush lettering and brush script workshops are held at the New Bohemia Signs location.
